My name is Karolina Koops and my husband and I are the proud owners of three Cardigan Welsh Corgi.
The dream of having a dog of this breed began when I was still a child.
Our kennel is registered in Raad Van Beheer belonging to Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI).
We are also a member of Nederlandse Welsh Corgi Club.
In 2021, we fulfilled them together and a wonderful, long-awaited red and white female dog - Cookie - arrived at home. It was she who taught us what a real Cardigan is, and although we had studied the characteristics of the breed for a very long time - we could finally see it on our own eyes. This little red girl made us fall in love with her every inch and only confirmed to us that Welsh Corgi Cardigan is a breed that will accompany us for the rest of our lives.
Being the owner and leader of our pack is a difficult and experience-requiring role, but it is also the greatest adventure and life decision we have made. I come from Poland, where I have been actively helping homeless dogs in shelters since 2005. This passion turned into my job for many years, which I continued until I moved to the Netherlands. The greatest satisfaction came from working with dogs that were most harmed by humans. Fixing dogs that have lost faith in humans, in better or worse way, taught me responsibility, patience and communication with dogs. My husband is Dutch- the greatest man in the world who supports me and allows me to continue my passion - dogs. The experience I have gained over these many years has allowed us to be conscious and responsible owners of our pack.
